Kyle Thornton is a seasoned professional in the stone industry with over a decade of hands-on experience. Beginning his career in 2012 with one of Dallas' largest residential countertop fabricators and suppliers, he quickly honed his skills in various roles, starting as a measure technician. Through dedication and a passion for learning, he advanced his knowledge in programming, installation, and fabrication.

In 2018, Kyle was presented with the opportunity to lead a smaller fabricator as General Manager. Under his leadership, the company experienced remarkable growth, doubling in size within just a few years. This success not only demonstrated his leadership abilities but also his strategic vision and deep understanding of the business.

In 2023, Kyle took the next step in his career by partnering with Greg Routt to co-found Lonestar Stone and Construction. With the aim of offering unparalleled service and high-quality products, they focus on delivering exceptional experiences to both commercial and residential clients seeking countertops.

With a wealth of experience and a proven track record in project management, Kyle is confident in his ability to tackle any challenge. He thrives on taking on new projects and continues to set the bar for excellence in the stone industry.

Outside of work, Kyle enjoys spending quality time with his family, playing golf and bowling, and engaging in various athletic activities. He also has a passion for enjoying nature and the outdoors.

Greg started in the stone countertop industry in 2015 working with Multi-Family and Hospitality projects providing large quantity cut to size countertops. This led to building lastingrelationships with multiple suppliers overseas and stateside. In 2020, Greg started working alongside Kyle Thornton (co founder of Lonestar) for a granite fabrication shop building up the commercial and residential side of the business. Lonestar Stone and Construction was created in 2023 and hit the ground running helping clients with all of their countertop needs. Greg not only specializes in countertops, but also takes on kitchen and bathroom remodels, as well as other contracting needs. Greg is thoughtful of the customers needs and provides excellent service and workmanship on his projects. 

Outside of work Greg enjoys spending time in his faith, with his family and traveling. Some of his hobbies includes playing guitar, fishing, working out, outdoor activities, sports and spending time with friends and enjoying new experiences in life.
